Dr. Carlos Zayyas Manuel Barerra is a Senior Agronomist and Plant Biotechnology Specialist with over 20 years of experience in plant tissue culture, micro-propagation, molecular diagnosis of plant diseases, and large-scale bio-factory operations.

Expertise in Temporary Immersion Bioreactors (TIB), molecular characterization of plant varieties, and induction of Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR). Strong background in AgTech solutions including sensors, robotics, and artificial intelligence for monitoring crop physiology, pests, diseases, and weeds.

Extensive international experience in technology transfer and professional training. Fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
